June 19 was absolutely exciting. First thing in the morning, I greeted my dad for Father's day, then I'm off to church. I went home right after the service, which is rather unusual because I'm programmed to go to the mall every Sunday after church.

I did go to the mall but it was at 5:30pm, which is actually an hour early for a dinner date with friends. Hindi naman daw ako mashadong excited?! Hehe. Well I have every right to be excited. It's my first dinner out with friends this year, believe it or not. And I have planned for this for two weeks. I usually get jitters with planning events like this. More often than not, they don't happen. Ha! But not this time. Good thing those who confirmed actually made it - thank God! It was also a special dinner because I was with the same people who brainwashed me to go with them to the beach last April. And oh yeah, it's to celebrate winning my training award (hehe) also with the same people who recognized my efforts and nominated me :o) Yes! This calls for a treat! Well at least one of them deserves it (see previous posts).

Anyway, dinner turned out great. We feasted on dumplings, cold cuts and fish fillet at Gloria Maris, Shangri-la mall. We're supposed to meet there at 6:30pm. There were early birds who made it 2 minutes before time. There was one who made a grand entrance (sa madaling sabi, late! hehe). And there's one who's trigger-happy (order happy). Everyone was stuffed (ha! with a bill like that?! dapat lang!) and it was all worth it. It was so much fun exchanging jokes, funny stories, and making fun of each other over dinner. Major chit chats. They even paid me a complement with my outfit hehe. "Pambahay ko lang yan." We talked about Batman Begins and how Christian Bale did justice to the role. And I think memorable talaga yung beach trip last April. Hanggang ngayon bini-bring up pa rin ang experience ko with Mindoro sling grabe! Haha! Kaya eh!

We went inside the mall afterwards to check out some stuff on sale. Hala sige tawa pa hehe. After about 30 minutes, we called it a night and said our goodbyes. I got a lot of "thank you's". One of them was super kind enough to give me a ride to drop me somewhere convenient to get another ride home (savior!)- which took us about 30 minutes because of the traffic.

The ride itself was crazy! More jokes, more laughs hehe. I don't know, for some reason ang hyper! Anyway, nag huling hirit pa kami. Hindi nakuntento sa dinner, we bought bibingcrepe at Half Moon, near channel 2. It was my first time to buy there. And yes, it was another one of those "brainwash" thing I got myself into. But it was a good brainwash. Bibingcrepe rocks! Hehe. I just wish I bought more. There's one time when we were still waiting for our order, I saw myself from a mirror just a few steps away from where we're standing. I said, "oo nga noh, ang ganda ko nga ngayon." Hahaha!!! Yes, kaya ko!

Home finally. I got another text. Aaaawww. Isn't that just heartwarming? That's why I love sharing food with friends even if I have to spend for everything. The return is definitely priceless.

Anyway, the night didn't actually end there yet. My folks came home from Texas again woohoo!!! Which means, I'll be on another week+ leave this July and we're going out of town again! Yay!!! Hmmm, wonder where it will be. I don't mind going back to Baguio. I love that place! Anyway, aside from getting excited to see them, I was also excited about my new pair of Nike's. Yeeehaaa!

Ending right here. I'm actually at work. But I do hope everyone who's reading this is also having an awesome day like me. What a day! What a day! [hop hop hop...]

Good Month April

"April's a good month!" That's what I told my pal last Friday. I really have him to thank for that. First he "brainwashed" me into going with them to the beach, which I never had regrets for. Second, he nominated me for the Quality & Training Awards for the same month, as I've mentioned a few entries ago. And third is even better...

I BAGGED IT! Woohoo!!!

His nomination got converted! Yeah! I took my trophy and showed it to him last Friday. We thought it was great. He was even the one who kept on showing it off. Then I told him what my boss told me- "We had four nominees in PSU (PeopleSupport University) but yours is different because your nomination came from Operations Department, which is what Jim (Quality Assurance Director) is actually looking for. The other three nominations came from within PSU." then I gave him a good pat on the back saying, "Good job! Good job!" Heheh.

I think it is both our victory. Some of my projects were his idea and I just simply execute it. Hmmm... his idea + my skills = great tandem. Cool!

But it's kinda weird though. Knowing that I got nominated did more impact than actually getting the award. I don't know what this means but I'm guessing that while I like the recognition, I'm more of the behind-the-scenes person. And knowing that I'm appreciated by the people I care about is already a winning deal.

Basta it's a darn good feeling I can't explain. I'm happy happy happy [hop hop hop]. Amidst the toxic I witness everyday, wala akong care! I'm happy happy happy! Wheeeeee!!!
