On The Bright Side...

I haaaaate morning shifts! It's a 9am to 6pm schedule for me this week. I hate Monday morning rush. I hate rush hours at the MRT. So I get normal sleeping time. But what good will that be if I can only sleep for 6 hours? And to top it all off, I can't play badminton with this shift! Grrrrr!

But wait! This morning, I woke up at 4:30am to get ready for work. 4:30??? Good luck getting a life. Anyway, I took a not too packed MRT (hmmm...good) and decided to drop at the Ayala station. When I got there, I started walking to the office while enjoying large fries and orange juice from McDo. I took the Greenbelt park route passing through the Zen garden. Heeeeey, this is fun! I thought I'm not going to find something good about this shift. Hmmmm... not bad at all. Now I can't wait for tomorrow hee hee!

Pero ibalik nyo ko sa GY!!!! Waaaaah! :op

happy bday jon

Gone and Back

I'm thankful for an officemate, a student, a lunchmate, a 'manong driver', a badminton buddy and a good friend - in just a little over two years of knowing each other, sharing advices, stories and laughs over corny jokes... then came this trying time which lead me to believe that I lost him... But God trully answers prayers...

It's good to be back fwend! Good to be back. Thank you!

Here's wishing you good health (quit yosi na huy!), safe driving (license!), lotsa luuuv (no comment), lotsa fun (out of town tayong lahat!) - just about all the good things life has to offer. Naks! Mag-treat ka naman! :op!

How many can relate to...

It's about how whenever I fall in love, I have these expectations of the experience being a perfect dream, which, of course, ruins it. I imagine cradling my lover's head in my lap in a cab in the middle of the night, and drinking champagne in an elegant hotel suite. But life's rarely like that, and I usually end up walking home by myself in the rain. -Rufus Wainwright on "Imaginary Love"

Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down. -Oprah Winfrey

The difference between friendship and love is how much you can hurt each other. -Ashleigh Brilliant

Boys frustrate me. I hate all thier indirect messages, I hate game playing. Do you like me or don't you? Just tell me so I can get over you. - Kirsten Dunst

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. -Thomas Edison

It is better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not. -Andre Gide

What does not kill me makes me stronger. -Friedrich Nietzsche

Maybe that whole love thing is just a grown-up version of Santa Claus; just a myth we've been fed since childhood. So, we keep buying magazines, joining clubs, and doing therapy and watching movies with hit pop songs played over love montages all in a pathetic attempt to explain why our love Santa keeps getting caught in the chimney. - Meg Ryan in "Kate & Leopold"

Congratulations NSI Men's Basketball and NSI Mixed Badminton teams for making it to the semis! Go team!!!

FX Adventures

FX Adventures

Inspired by Ayn's "Deli Dos", here's my own share of inspirational and educational quotes stolen from eavesdropping and taking notes inside an FX shuttle. Sorry, 3 lines lang to' pero tawa tayo!!!

1. I never intended to eavesdrop until she spoke loudly and said, "OK... I'll meet you there (pronounced "dur") at exactly o'clack."

2. Seemed like an overseas call from her Mom, this Ale with a bisaya accent said, "...oh it's depend to the embassy... ebrytings pine... i'm so tired ( --> quick follow up) bery mach..."

3. This manong who seemed to have just finished hybernating, and was trying to do small talk and "bond" with the FX driver, saw SM North's parking lot with sign, 'Please pay as you enter'. Manong said, "Aba, ok ah. 'Please pay as you ENTRY'. Pati parking ngayon may bayad na."

Moral lesson: mahirap mag-isa lalo na kung magpipigil ka ng tawa.
