Scene At The Airport

One day Chi and I went to the check-in counter to well... check-in... our baggage for our flight to the queen city of the south. Way before we got there, we were already feeling the vacation.... aaahh another getaway! I wore my havies and a favorite dress I wore while I was in Bora last year. This is it!!! Check-in na check-in na ko!

Crew (what do you call them anyway?): "Ma'am nasan na po yung waiver nyo?"
Me: "Ha??"
Crew: "Nasan po yung waiver nyo? BUNTIS po ba kayo?"
Me: (natatawang naiinis) "Hindi"

And as if that wasn't enough, here's the clincher...

Crew: "Are you sure???"

Gusto ko shang saktan. I swear!

I'm thinking of my to-do's for 2008:

1. Travel. Travel. Travel. I'm excited about Chi and I's Cebu and Bohol trip this coming weekend. And then, I want to visit Laoag-Vigan-Pagudpud, go back to Boracay, and get out of the country (finally)!

2. Shopping! I want to update my wardrobe. Buy a suitcase. Buy new shoes. Buy that Fossil watch that I've been eyeing on-- big dial, white strap.

3. Take driving lessons (finally).

4. Expand my network. Meet new people. Have more friends... and a date doesn't sound bad too.

Sponge Mode part 2

"You're late!" he said via YM last night. I didn't know he's checking my attendance now. I said, "Hah! What time did you come in aber?"

"10:30pm hehe"

"Shet! I came in at 10:59. Haha!"

Then I later said, "I'm not late! I'm a Lead Trainer!" Hahaha! It's the 4am's favorite line from yours truly.

I learned that he wanted to get coffee that time, claiming he's stressed. Uhuh yeah. Sure. Fine, stress it is. Though I'm SURE we were going to talk about something else hehe. But of course! :-p

I happily took more of his giggles today. It's both fun and torturous hearing his cheesy lines and watching him turn into jell-o. Then he becomes dreamy, leans on my shoulder and gives a sigh. After a while, I leaned on him and as if on cue, he immediately gave me a tight squeeze. It would have been nice if the pin on my left earring did not almost puncture my skin. Oh but he's not yet done!

"Do you know what I like doing pag nanggigigil ako? Nangangagat ako!" he said.

And there goes his teeth against my right upper arm. It's been 3 hours but I can still feel bits of pain.

So I'm not only a sponge, but also a teether? I wonder what I will be tomorrow. I better get my health card ready.

*Sigh* anything for a dear friend... hehe!

Sponge Mode

I took the usual walk with my good buddies this morning. One was "pa-demure", trying to be reserved but you know he's all excited inside. The other one I didn't have to see, but I'm sure was smiling like a fool the entire night (the weekend aftershock). I tried catching him via instant messenger:

Me: "Stop smiling! :-p"
Him: "I can't! Hahaha"

They were both talking about how wonderful their weekend went with their special someones. And I happily listen to their stories, setting aside worries that I might suffer from "too much information". At one point in time we're all kilig. The next time we're all goofy. Then we're back to kilig again. You know, the works.

Then there were two of us left, as one hugged goodbye and headed to his place. We continued the chat of course. I told him that I'm really happy for them and what's been going on in their lives. I've never seen them so hyper and all bubbly inside. Then he asked if I would be bumping my head against a wall anytime soon. I said, "No. But I'll probably cringe when I get home. I'm so prone to delayed reactions so we'll see. Haha!" And we both laughed.

I continued, "I'm on sponge mode today. And I will be for the coming weeks or so... but I have to be honest with you. There might come a time when you guys will start talking about it again, and it will suddenly be depressing to me. I'll start asking why I can't have something or someone like that. That's when I'll bump my head against a wall. But I don't see it coming anytime soon. My selfless mode is up right now."

I love thinking that if it doesn't happen to me, at least it happens to others. So I gladly take in what they want to blurt out, and contain myself with their good vibes. Then I just have to deal with feeling a bit envious later on when I'm far from them. I'll start to think about who I've been asking for; every inch of his face. Then I'll most probably remember how people have been pressuring me to get someone of my own. It will either upset me, or just make me not give a damn.

But what do I do the next time I'm caught with my two friends talking about the same thing, over and over again?

I'll be here for them. It's what I'm good at.

Trip To The North

It's been a long time since we last went to the mall. And Neilky was itching to buy this jacket from TopMan, so I accompanied him to TriNoMa (which is "province" to him). With Neil around, there's definitely no dull moment.

Me: "...ang bagal naman maglakad ng mga tao!"
Neil: "oo nga, kala mo nasa mall!"

Well, we didn't get to buy the jacket since it's already out of stock, so we walked around the mall checking out the stores. We ended up buying his first pair of Nike Free. It was pretty exhausting, especially coming from the GY shift. So we went to Jack's Loft at the rooftop park and chilled with some refreshments.

First Night Out

I was feeling sick but I didn't want to cancel the night out. It was our first real hangout - coffee, movie, rest day, the works - and for some reason, I thought that if it doesn't push through now, it's going to be difficult to "book" next time. I wasn't able to bring Turyon though- didn't feel like carrying stuff.

Troy: "Did you take your meds?"
Myls: "Not yet"
Teban: "Why are you taking meds?"
Myls: "I'm kinda sick"
Teban: "Well you don't look sick."

Good job Myls. Hehe

Anyway, Troy and I got to Greenbelt first so we had dinner at Cafe Bola. I introduced him to my all-time favorite Adobo Flakes with parmesan cream. I'm glad that he liked it. I thought that we could probably have coffee and then watch a movie. Then Teban texted telling that he's not going to take any alcohol today since his voice has gotten worse. He said that we could probably have coffee and then watch a movie! Wow, no effort there. I told him that's exactly what I'm thinking. Then I wished he'd be okay to watch "27 Dresses". I was told earlier that it's a good one. Then he suddenly texted, "27 Dresses?". Haha! Perfect! Great minds think alike!

So we met Teban and we lounged at Coffee Bean (very good!). After an hour, we took a walk. As we passed by People's Palace, we saw Richard Gutierrez! I was so surprised that I hit Teban on the chest saying, "omg si Richard! ang gwapooo!" Hahaha! And then we got tired of walking and posing along the way (well Teban never gets tired of posing), so we lounged at the 3rd floor with some popcorn and lemonade to kill the time.

We adjourned at 2am; didn't enjoy the movie that much. But it was alright. Then I got their "good night" text messages. It was a great night out! These two are the best! Looking forward to the next. [big grin]

Sick-O

Been feeling sick since Thursday at work; not to mention that I had to deal with issues, pressure and stress. I woke up at 4am today (not for the 4am session; wish there was) feeling worse. Teban texted yesterday saying he's coughing. And I was having a bad sneeze. Now I have both! Argh! I'm supposed to have a bonding session with Turyon later tonight haaaay. Hopefully I'll feel better.

I need my TLC.

Lately

I just booked a flight to Cebu for a 4-day vacation at end of the month, serving as Chi's travel buddy/tour guide. Two days of which will be spent in Bohol, hopefully Panglao. But we'll definitely go on the day trip going to Loboc and Chocolate Hills. Sigh. I miss Bohol! Can't wait to go back!

He's been with the gang since it started but it's only now that I'm getting to know him deeper. Last week, I "found" myself a new favorite friend. His name is Steven. :-) Expect more of us in the coming posts.
